Continue the City’s commitment to ensuring safe housing for all tenants by intensifying efforts to inspect rental units across the City.

(Family Support) This is a multi-year goal that will continue to see focus on housing priorities across multiple Agency programs.

New Park West of Backman Elementary School: The City will open a new park in the Fairpark and Rose Park neighborhoods, west of Backman Elementary School. This will be the first project funded by the Parks GO Bond’s “Jordan River Corridor” program, aimed at increasing access to open space and promoting community well-being.

Liberty Rotary Play Park Construction: Construction will begin on the Liberty Rotary Play Park, designed to create an inclusive, accessible space for children and families of all ages and abilities. This park aims to foster social interaction and provide a welcoming environment for the community.

Expansion of Pickleball Courts: In response to the growing demand for recreational pickleball, the City will complete the construction of twelve additional pickleball courts on the Westside. Ten courts will be built at Glendale Park and two at Poplar Grove Park, providing more opportunities for active lifestyles and community engagement.

These partnerships will expand programming and activation at the Cornell Wetlands, Backman Community Open Space, and the Three Creeks Confluence, supporting families and students in the community.
